The University of Pitesti continues to implement the project `Designing and supporting inclusive practices in Higher Education` [InclusiveHE], project number 2020-1-FI01-KA203-066572. The project started on 1 December 2020 and will be completed on 20 November 2022, having the fundamental aim of raising awareness of the inclusive policies and providing guidance on the development of inclusive practices in higher education. Broadly speaking, the project intends to contribute to strengthening the inclusive nature of European tertiary education.
At this stage, after completing the research on the role of inclusion in university education systems in the countries participating in the consortium, the partners are working on developing the modules that are part of the Intellectual Output 2 (IO2), generally related to the notion of inclusion as essential part of tertiary educational practices.
The modules dwell on the following topics: the elaboration of inclusive courses through the application of Design Thinking Methodology; Diversity, equity and inclusion. Gender equality and sexual diversity; Culturally responsive teaching / Linguistically-responsive teaching; Technology for inclusion; Social justice education and conflict resolution; Inclusion of special needs students in HE.
In their final form, the modules will be brought together to serve as a tool for encouraging inclusion as an essential dimension of university education.
