As a final step before the project’s completion, CARDET organized a multiplier event in Nicosia, Cyprus to disseminate the high quality results produced during the last two years.
The multiplier event was held face to face at the University of Nicosia on Friday, the 18th of November 2022 with the participation of twenty academics, learning designers and administrative staff.
The participants were first introduced to the InclusiveHE project, its aim, objectives and main results. An overview of the toolkit followed, with participants navigating the online material and practicing the use of the checklist, SWOT analysis and strategy worksheet. Then, a focus was given on inclusive practices that allow students with diverse abilities, ethnic, cultural and migration background, sexual orientation and religion to have an equal opportunity to learn. The facilitator analyzed how universities can develop inclusive education programmes using the Design Thinking Methodology framework. Finally, the participants had the opportunity to navigate the e-Learning platform and the six modules produced.
All resources received a positive feedback, with participants expressing their willingness to use them in their daily practices, in order to further build their competences in terms of integrating inclusive learning and teaching practices.
